This baby killer whale is the last one to be born at SeaWorld

(CNN)A killer whale calf was born Wednesday at SeaWorld San Antonio in Texas, marking the last one birthed in captivity at the company’s marine parks. SeaWorld announced last year that it would end its killer whale breeding program. Takara, the mother of the newborn calf, already had been pregnant through Natural breeding when SeaWorld made that announcement in March 2016, the company said. (CNN)John Warren Geils Jr., the guitarist and founder of the eponymous J. Geils Band, has died, police in Groton, Massachusetts, said. Police came to Geils’ home for a well-being check, police Chief Donald Palma said. The 71-year-old was found unresponsive and was declared dead at the scene.
