Charlie Sheen is no stranger to controversy. The 52-year-old actor’s problems with alcohol and drug abuse have been widely reported in the media, and it’s no secret that he’s a womanizer, spending over a million dollars on the services of prostitutes.
Now it’s been alleged that the father-of-five raped 13-year-old Corey Haim on the set of the set of the 1986 movie Lucas. This claim has come in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, which has led to a series of Hollywood stars being accused of sexual misconduct. The National Enquirer reported that the late Haim told friends about the incident, and one of these friends, Dominick Brascia, has passed on this information to the authorities – information he obtained in 2010 shortly before Haim’s untimely death. “Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas,” Brascia revealed. “He told me they smoked pot and had sex. He said they had anal sex. Haim said after it happened Sheen became very cold and rejected him. When Corey wanted to fool around again, Charlie was not interested.” The incident also appears to have been alluded to in one of Haim’s closest friends Corey Feldman’s autobiography, Coreyography: A Memoir. The two are pictured below. “At some point during the filming [of Lucas, Haim] explained an adult male convinced him it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was ‘what all guys do,’” Feldman wrote.
“So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized.”
Sheen’s sodomization of Haim, however, was not the only incident of sexual misconduct which the star apparently engaged in on the set of Lucas. It also been reported that he kissed a 17-year-old girl and offered to sleep with her whilst filming the movie.
Although Feldman didn’t name Sheen in his autobiography, he has made his disdain for Sheen clear throughout his career, making a number of telling comments about the actor, which make a lot of sense now that the rape allegations have been made. “I’m not a huge fan of Charlie Sheen… especially the way he’s affected other people that I know,” Feldman said to The Enquirer in 2011. He then revealed that Haim “fought for his entire life to recover from those early experiences and to get his life together.” “I believe there’s a lot of darkness in Hollywood right now, and I believe it’s been there for quite some time,” Feldman said. “It’s going to continue unraveling. This is just the beginning, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.” The now 49-year-old woman who Sheen allegedly acted inappropriately with has also spoken out about the actor’s misconduct. “I [admit], I did have a thing for Sheen,” she said. “I talked with him for a long time and kissed him.”
Not satisfied with just a kiss, however, the now HIV positive Sheen reportedly wanted more from the 17-year-old. “I was in a bathroom with him at one point. He tried to get me to have sex.”.
The above picture of Sheen smoking a cigarette outside his parent’s house was taken yesterday just hours after the allegations were made. But now Sheen has now spoken out in response, with a representative saying that he “categorically denies” raping Haim. Brascia revealed that this alleged rape was not the only sexual experience Haim had with Sheen. “Haim told me he had sex with Sheen again,” he said. “He claimed he didn’t like it and was finally over Sheen. He said Charlie was a loser.” If these allegations against Sheen are true, it begs the question – why was the actor never named until now? Like so many other famous faces who have recently been accused of misconduct, their wrongdoing appears to have been covered up for years. We hope that all those guilty of sexual misconduct in Hollywood are brought to justice.
